Looking for a good Video Editing "Mouse" or Controller.
I would like to find a nice"mouse" or video editing controller,
that allows me to do many of the video editing features,
I am especially looking for something with a wheel, that will let you advance frame by frame.
It would also be great if you were able to customize what some of the buttons and controls do.
Is there such a thing out there? That will work with a variety of programs?
And not cost me a kidney?
Thanks
~John

Some folks like the Contour Shuttle Pro 2. It'll only set you back about a $100 bucks. That's less than a kidney, I think.
Good luck.

Thank you Dennis,
I found that one while searching today.
Someone had shown me the original version a long time ago,
I just couldnt remember who made it.
Seems like that is the one to get,
I will probably pick one up in the next few days.
Thanks

John, ya got me wondering now that you're moving on with equipment purchases, did you cure the capture dilemma? I'm curious as to what it ended up being.

I always thought the Griffin Powermate was cool. Granted, it doesn't have the buttons that the video editing specific controllers have, but it does give you an extremely smooth jog wheel and single button click. It can be had for about $40 from various retailers that I found on Froogle.

I am using a Contour shutle pro, came under the name of Hercules and was bundled with a Firwire card and Ulead software for around 100$.
It really helps and I would recomended to everybody.
PS: I used it only with Premiere 6.5 Pro 1 & 2, so no experience with other software.
