DVDA & Photoshop import (Advance)

Color Shifts
Using Photoshop files in DVDA, presents many questions especially beyond the basic areas. These questions deal more with optimizing the menu images across viewing platforms. I noticed that the menu's color washed out on my television. On the computer, it looks fine. I made some fine-tune adjustments on these viewing devices; but the computer's gamma appears different than an NTSC television. I am hoping to find the balance between the two.

Several choices exist here like de-saturating the image in Photoshop or DVDA's brightness control. DVDA's brightness effect did not generate the ideal results.

Does anybody have any rules of thumbs on dealing with color shifts from the computer monitor to a traditional TV? Should I de-saturate the image or adjust the brightness? Please recommend by how much.

External Files
How does DVDA deal with updates to external files, like Photoshop files? It seems unpredictable in my experiences. Basically, I continually edit and render my source files making fine-tune adjustments. DVDA does not handle these situations in a fluid manner. Remember we are all learning DVDA and figuring out workarounds as we get the job done. Continual edits are necessary.

Text layers
Does DVDA bring in Photoshop text layer as editable text? Currently, I am just importing the graphic buttons, which presents me enough challenges.

Highlight Masks
DVDA needs the same dimensions for the frame graphics, frame masks, highlight masks. I want to create a text button with a highlight on two interior letters. DVDA stretches the highlight graphic over all letters. Does anyone have a tutorial on dealing with this scenario? Could you create a white mask for the two letters and fill the button’s size with black?

Square vs. Non Squared
Photoshop pixel ratio feature has me perplexed. I used this feature to set the resolution to DV, yet Photoshop delivers a message when opening the PSD menu file.

Pixel aspect ratio correction is for preview purposes only. Turn it off for maximum quality

Did I correctly save the pixel aspect ratio and will DVDA import the PSD with this setting? Or should just create a PSD composition with one of the following pixel dimensions? Please explain your thoughts on pixel aspect ratios.

655x480
720x534
720x540
720x480 (square)

How do I convert a Photoshop file to non square pixel? DVDA still stretches my PSD background with “Stretch to Fit”, so I need to address this problem so the graphics don’t experience distortion.
