I have been looking at the mini dv's for a year or so now and there are quite a few models, sizes etc. on the market making it difficult to decide on which make to buy. I have been keeping in touch with the features and issues of several brands and models I am interested in and have been keeping an eye on the Sharp VL-Z3U. It seems to have the 1/4" ccd and other features I would like in a mini dv, but have not been able to find any reviews or comments on the VL-Z models. I was wondering if anyone here has any first hand info on them.

A "pro" review that looks as if it came right off the mfg's home page. Some user comments. One that may be of interest to you is quite long and was submitted by a person that says they have some pro experience. Hope this helps.
